Serena Galleshaw is a community development professional with a passion for bringing people together to discover pragmatic solutions to social, environmental, and place-based issues. In her hometown of Berwick, Maine, she lead an intensive multi-year economic and community activation campaign centered around the redevelopment of an 11.7 acre brownfield site in the center of town. The project ultimately received over $1.2 million in federal EPA brownfield cleanup grants, and activated the development of several catalyst sites. At its core, the campaign mobilized the community and brought people together around the ideas of tradition, innovation, and sustainability. Serena takes pride in her ability to utilize the talents of team members in order to produce a fun, collaborative, and motivated workspace. Her prior experience in ecological design, sustainable systems, and experiential education informs her interest in facilitating groups towards a more holistic relationship with place.
